What Is a "Psychic Reading"

A "reading" is a process wherein a client (sometimes called a sitter or Querrant) invites a psychic (also called an intuitive, reader, advisor, spiritual counselor etc...) to use their ability to translate unconscious intuitive information into advice and impressions about the client's life and situations.

Readings can be done by a VARIETY of methods such as Tarot, Geomancy, Numerology, Runes, Ogham, scrying, spiritual consultation, channeling, and MUCH MUCH more. Generally, the "psychic" is acting as a medium or mode for the information to get to the client. The reader does not make up the reading, nor do they call into existence the future events, they simply act as a translator of the tool or modality of the reading.

Every reader has a different style and may of handling information. Most will concentrate ONLY upon the client sitting before them and will shy away from lots of questions about other people on ethical grounds- after all would YOU want a psychic spying on YOU without YOUR permission? certainly NOT!

Psychics do not "predict the future" so much as look at probabilities and since time is simultaneous, it is easy to download information from what Jung called the 'collective Unconscious" and use that information to make that client aware of opportunities and obstacles which might affect them. Generally, a good reader has an agreement with The Universal Power that no "problem" will be set forth without some kind of a solution, therefore an ethical reader will never predict gloom and doom without  a viable solution or way around it.

A reading will usually include some kind of overview of the general state of things in the client's life, and then some specific categories of information- this varies depending upon the individual reading and style of the Reader.

Every ethical reader will also tell you to temper what THEY say with what your own inner voice and heart are telling you to do.  Ultimately, all decisions are YOURS and you yourself are responsible for the outcomes.
